We are a 501 ( c ) 3, nonprofit organization that assist active-duty military, veterans, homeless veterans, and underserved communities with resources needed to maintain, and sustain in our community! We strive to provide solutions to your problems by offering FREE financial literacy classes, navigation of veteran's resource classes, and a mental health outreach program. It's Always One Team, One Fight!
Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work in this area mainly focusing on homeless veterans, we formed our 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization to provide sensible solutions. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!
Our mission is to empower our military men and women by equipping them with resources needed to maintain and sustain in our community. No veteran that fought for our country should be homeless, or without resources.
We offer free financial literacy classes as preventative measures to reduce the homelessness in our military population. The classes are designed to teach how money works. Learn to budget, save, invest, utilize your VA home loans, and plan for exiting the military. If we can help orchestrate a plan, we can make better decisions that will effect the outcome of our future. Classes are offered evey 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 10am - 11 am.
Learn resources available to you as a veteran. Speak directly with CEO's that are looking to hire veterans, and staff at military organizations in regards to services they offer to veterans. Classes are offered every 2nd and Saturday of the month. You must register to receive the Zoom link. We look forward to assisting you, and answering any questions you may have.
Learn positive coping mechanisms for PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Group therapy for mental health can provide support, be a sounding board, propel you forward, promote social skills, and teach you about yourself. It is the focus of the organization to promote a sense of belonging to individuals as they effectively learn to positively deal with life's situations. Classes are offered every 1st Thursday of the month from 12pm - 1pm.
About 6 of every 10 men (or 60%) and 5 of every 10 women (or 50%) experience at least one trauma in their lives. About 7 or 8 out of every 100 people (or 7-8% of the population) will have PTSD at some point in their lives. When you are in the military, you may see combat. You may have been on missions that exposed you to horrible and life-threatening experiences. These types of events can lead to PTSD. It is the focus of the organization to provide positive outlets to manage PTSD. Our PTSD Awareness Program is hosted with our Mental Helath Outreach program every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 10 am - 11am.
There are 13% of 23 million Veterans in the United States who have used their VA home loan benefit. It is the focus of our organization to assist the 87% that has not, by offering educational seminars to ensure that those that fought for our nation has the opportunity to own a piece of the country.
Also if you have been given a permanent change of station (PCS), and do not want to ruin your credit or lose your home, contact us today so that we can assist you while keeping your credit intact.
